The University of Rochester golf team secured two more all-conference awards on Thursday morning, as sophomore
Shibo Wang and first-year
Alvin Su were recognized as Second Team All-Association within the University Athletic Association (UAA).

Wang picks up his second UAA honor after being named co-Rookie of the Year last season, while Su secures his first all-conference award from the UAA. Both also received All-Liberty League recognition earlier this season and were All-Region honorees as well.

Both Wang and Su were Rochester's highest rated golfers throughout the season according to the Scoreboard/Clippd rankings, with Wang ranking 90th and Su being 110th across Division III overall. The pair were two of the top-3 players in Region II as well during the 2024-25 campaign.

Over 19.5 rounds, Wang averaged 73.08 strokes per round, while Su finished the regular season at 72.62 strokes per round, also competing in 19.5 rounds. Both were in Rochester's lineup back at the UAA Match Play Championship, helping the Yellowjackets finish as the runner-up in the tournament for the first time since 2016.

Some of Su's highlights this season include ranking third at the Liberty League Championship, fourth at the Fred Kravetz Invitational and 18th at the Farmingdale Spring Invite. The rookie did not finish below 44th in any tournament.

For Wang, the sophomore ranked second on the team with a .751 winning percentage, aided by a win at the Farmingdale Spring Invite and top-12 results at the Liberty League Tournament, Golfweek Fall Classic and Northeast Elite Invitational.

Rochester as a team, with both Wang and Su in the lineup, is currently in the midst of competing at the NCAA Division III Championships, having made the cut at nationals for the first time since 2014.
