Three members of the University of Rochester men's track and field team wrapped up the 2025 season by securing All-America honors following their performance at the NCAA Division III Championships last weekend.

Rochester's three awards were announced by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Tuesday afternoon. A total of three seniors, Cole Goodman, Jordan Johnson and Gabe Thyne all earned the honors, closing out the Yellowjacket athletic careers.

Goodman was named a First Team All-American in the triple jump for the third straight season outdoors, capturing fourth place at the NCAA Championships. The senior posted a season-best jump 15.17 meters during the event, finishing just 15 centimeters behind the eventual champion. Goodman's All-American award is the eighth of his career, all of which are First Team honors.

Johnson earned his first career First Team All-America award after competing in the hammer throw at the national meet, placing in sixth. His best mark was 60.90 meters and ranked him fourth in the field until the final round when an additional two competitors passed up his distance. Johnson's result at NCAA's was the best finish by a Yellowjacket competitor in the hammer throw all-time, spanning five different NCAA appearances. He becomes Rochester's first All-American thrower outdoors since 1989 and ends his career with two All-America honors after also earning Second Team accolades during the 2024-25 indoor season.

Thyne also picks up his second career All-America award, and first outdoors, after placing 16th in the field at NCAA's in the decathlon. The senior scored 6,697 points to capture Second Team All-America honors in 2025, backing up a Second Team performance during the multi-event's indoors in the 2024-25 campaign. Thyne becomes Rochester's fifth decathlon All-American in program history.

Overall, the Rochester men's track and field team now has 40 all-time All-Americans during the outdoor season. The University of Rochester, as a whole, now has 763 total All-Americans, spanning all 23 varsity sports.
