The University of Rochester men's track and field team saw its outdoor awards season wrap up following the announcement of the Liberty League major award recipients, with senior
Jordan Johnson taking home Field Performer of the Year honors, as announced by the conference on Wednesday.

Johnson headlined a list of 13 individuals who combined for 21 All-Liberty League honors which are earned based on individual or relay finishes at the conference championships in early May. First- and second-place finishers received First- and Second-Team All-Liberty League accolades, respectively, while third-place results are recognized with Honorable Mention distinctions.

At the conference competition, the Yellowjackets placed second among eight participating institutions, compiling a team score of 185 points in the meet hosted at RIT on May 2-3.

Johnson's award caps a tremendous senior season which saw him claim First Team All-America honors in the hammer throw after finishing in sixth place with a 60.90 meter toss at the NCAA Division III Championships. He also qualified for NCAA's in the javelin and placed 21st overall with a top mark of 53.33 meters.

At the Liberty League Championships, Johnson was named Field Performer of the Meet after claiming three titles, winning the discus, hammer and javelin, while also scoring a top-3 result for Rochester in the shot put. The senior also was named Liberty League Field Performer of the Week four times in 2025 during the outdoor season. Johnson ended the season ranked eighth in the hammer throw, 19th in the javelin and 40th in the discus on the Division III Performance List, ranking first in the Liberty League in each event.

Johnson's three wins at the conference meet were half of UR's total, with fellow All-American's
Cole Goodman (two) and
Gabe Thyne (one) earning the other First Team All-League honors. The Liberty League Second Team members feature one relay and two individuals, while four individuals and one relay join Johnson in receiving Honorable Mention All-Liberty League praise this season.
