Box Score CANTON, NY – The University of Rochester men's tennis team concluded its opening weekend at St. Lawrence University's Fall Classic on Sunday at the Sammis Tennis Courts.
 
Following the first day of action, both Kavin Shukla and Rochester's doubles pair of Ethan Samora and Aiden Swartz remained alive in their respective brackets, but both fell in their opening matches on Sunday to the eventual bracket winners.
 
After winning his first two matches in the Singles 'A' bracket on Saturday, Shukla fell to the eventual champion, Hobart's Nick Fischer, 8-5 in the semifinals. While in the Doubles 'B' flight bracket semifinals, Samora and Swartz lost to RIT's Gabriel Escobar and Luke Weber, 8-4.
 
The Yellowjackets will wrap up their fall slate with the ITA Regional Championships, beginning on Friday, Oct. 3 at 8:30 a.m. in Saratoga Springs, NY.
