PITTSFORD, NY – The University of Rochester women's track & field team wrapped up its weekend at the Nazareth D3 Elite Meet at the Golisano Training Center with six top-10 results, competing as a split-squad with Yellowjacket athletes also in competition at the NYU DIII Invitational.
CC Leavitt got Rochester's day started on the track in the 800 meters, leading a trio of Yellowjackets to top-10 results. Leavitt led the trio with a seventh-place finish and 2:25.15 time, while
Isabella Doty set a new personal-best mark with a ninth-place finish and 2:26.19 time.
Katie Punch rounded out the top 10 with a 10th-place result, clocking in at 2:26.41.
In the 200-meter open race,
Julia Largett took seventh, crossing the finish line in 28.78 seconds, while
Toni Adewakun finished a spot behind Largett in eighth with a time of 29.02 seconds.
Kara Goldstein was Rochester's top finisher in the 3,000 meters, earning a 12th-place result with a time of 11:06.42.
While in the field events,
Ellerie Finger was the lone Yellowjacket in action and scored Rochester's highest finish of the day, a sixth-place finish with her 9.91m leap in the triple jump.
URochester will be back in action, again at the Golisano Training Center, for the Nazareth University Conference Tune-Up on Friday, Feb. 20, beginning at 4:00 p.m.
