Three Yellowjackets from the University of Rochester men's squash and women's track & field team earned Liberty League weekly honors, as announced by the conference on Monday.

In men's squash, first-year Arjith Mathew was named the Liberty League Rookie of the Week, while in women's track & field, junior Madison Vargas received Liberty League Field Performer of the Week honors, and Lauren Murphy was selected as the conference's Women's Track & Field Rookie of the Week.

Vargas finished in the top-6 in two throwing events at the NYU D3 Invitational on Saturday. Her top mark came in the weight throw, with the junior throwing a personal-best 16.86 meters, ending second (of 17) in the field and moving to #19 on the Division III performance list this season. Vargas added a sixth-place result (of 25) in the shot put, posting an 11.71-meter mark.

Mathew was a winner in both of his matches at number five for the Yellowjackets, winning 3-0 (11-3, 11-7, 11-6) in the semifinals against Qianzhi Zhao of Haverford and 3-2 (11-8, 4-11, 8-11, 11-9, 11-9) in the championship match against host St. Lawrence's Alexander Scott. His two wins helped URochester claim its seventh-straight Liberty League title and 13th overall in conference history.

Murphy won two events on Saturday, competing for the Yellowjackets at the NYU D3 Invitational. The rookie placed first in the triple jump with a mark of 11.83 meters, beating 22 other competitors at the meet. Later on, Murphy ran on the winning 4x400 meter relay that ranks #29 in Division III this season, completing the race in 3:53.19.
