NEW ORLEANS, LA – 10 Yellowjackets from the University of Rochester women's track and field team earned a total of 19 United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region honors for their efforts during the 2025-26 indoor season, as announced by the USTFCCCA on Wednesday.

The top-eight individuals in each event from each region: East, Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, South, and West, on the year-end Descending Order Lists earn All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-eight relay teams.

Chen led the Yellowjackets, being named All-Region in five events, while Molly FitzGibbons and Lauren Murphy earned the distinction three times, and Eva Ciuffetelli received a pair of All-Region honors.

Individually, Chen received USTFCCCA All-Region accolades in the 60-meter hurdles, 200 meters, 400 meters and pentathlon, and combined with Raquella Casserino, Ciuffetelli and Murphy to score All-Region in the 4x400-meter relay. Chen holds the top mark in the Niagara Region in the 400 meters, ranks second in both the 200 meters and 60-meter hurdles and third in the pentathlon.

Chen's top-ranked 400-meter time of 55.71 seconds came at the Liberty League Indoor Championships, as did her 200-meter time (24.79) and URochester's second-ranked 4x400-meter relay (3:48.14). The junior's 60-meter hurdle mark of 8.73 seconds was set at the All-Atlantic Region Indoor Championships (AARTFC), while Chen's 3,312-point pentathlon score came back at the Ithaca Bomber Invitational.

Chen will compete in both the 60-meter hurdles and the 400 meters at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships this weekend.

FitzGibbons ranked regionally in the top eight of both the mile and 3,000 meters to earn individual All-Region accolades, and also ran on Rochester's Distance Medley Relay along with Lizzie Merrill, Isabella Doty and Emily Dill that ranked sixth in the region. FitzGibbons' 4:56.27 mile time from the Liberty League Championships ranks third in the region, while her 9:52.53 3,000-meter time from the Blue & Orange Invite and Multi is seventh.

The 'Jackets' DMR time of 12:21.06, also run at the conference championships, ranks sixth.

In addition to being on Rochester's second-ranked 4x400 relay, Murphy is the top jumper in the Niagara Region in the triple jump and ranks second in the long jump, having earned All-Region status and qualified for NCAAs in both events. Murphy's top-ranked triple jump also set the UR program record and came back at the Nazareth Alumni Opener, a leap of 11.97m, while her 5.77m long jump came at Liberty Leagues.

Ciuffetelli, also on URochester's 4x400-meter relay, holds the second-fastest 800-meter time in the region, 2:11.07, from the AARTFCs. Her time also ranks in the top 10 in DIII this season, earning her a spot at this weekend's NCAA Championships.

Rochester's final two All-Region honors came in the throwing events, where Aimee Oszer netted accolades in the shot put, and Madison Vargas in the weight throw. Oszer ranks third in the region in the shot put with a 13.49m, school-record toss, set at the Nazareth Conference Challenge Cup, while Vargas' All-Region 16.86m weight throw came at the NYU D3 Invitational and ranks fourth.

Chen, Ciuffetelli and Murphy will wrap up the indoor campaign for URochester this weekend, March 13-14, at the 2025-26 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Birmingham Crossplex in Birmingham, AL.
