Adetosoye ranked in the top-50 in DIII in both assists and steals per game

NABC Names Adetosoye Second-Team All-District 3

KANSAS CITY, MO – University of Rochester men's basketball senior guard Tomiwa Adetosoye received Second-Team All-District 3 accolades from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), as announced by the NABC on Tuesday.
 
Adetosoye, a Second-Team All-UAA selection and a USBWA First-Team All-Rochester Area honoree, was Rochester's second-leading scorer and rebounder, and led the 'Jackets in assists, steals and blocks. Appearing in and starting all 25 games, Adetosoye averaged 17.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 2.4 steals and 0.8 blocks per game, shooting 43.7 percent from the field and 75.3 percent from the free-throw line.
 
The senior ranked in the top-100 nationally in free-throw attempts (32nd), free throws (41st), steals per game (48th), assists per game (49th), assist-to-turnover ratio (67th), steals (74th) and assists (77th), and ranked in the top-10 regionally in all eight categories as well, including third in free-throw attempts and fourth in assists per game.
 
Scoring in double figures in all but four contests, Adetosoye totaled 438 points and added 131 rebounds, 123 assists, 60 steals and 21 blocks. The Atlanta, GA native also tallied 10, 20+ point performances, including several against district opponents, scoring 20 vs. SUNY Cortland in Rochester's season-opener, and 22 against St. John Fisher in the Mark's Pizzeria Crosstown Shootout. For his efforts in both the Chuck Resler Tournament and the Mark's Pizzeria Crosstown Shootout, Adetosoye earned All-Tournament honors.
 
Statistically, Adetosoye's 60 steals and 2.4 steals per game average rank third and fourth, respectively, in single-season program history, while the senior's 140 free-throws made and 186 free-throws attempted also rank sixth and eighth.
 
Adetosoye also graduates ranked fifth in program history in steals per game (1.8) and 10th in assists per game (3.7), wrapping up his career with 825 points, 303 rebounds, 242 assists, 117 steals and 37 blocks.
 
The All-District honors are voted on by NABC-member coaches across NCAA Division III.
