University of Rochester men's basketball senior guard Corvin Oprea was selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Men's Basketball Team, as announced by the CSC on Tuesday.

The 2025-26 CSC Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes. To be nominated, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, and must have competed in at least 90 percent of an institution's contests, or must have started at least 66 percent of an institution's contests.

Oprea appeared in and started all 25 games for URochester en route to both Second-Team All-University Athletic Association and D3hoops.com Third-Team All-Region 3 honors. The Dallas, TX native led the Yellowjackets in both scoring and rebounding, averaging 17.8 points and 6.2 rebounds per game, to go along with 1.8 assists and 1.0 steals per contest. Oprea earned Tournament MVP honors at both the Chuck Resler Tournament and the Mark's Pizzeria Crosstown Shootout, and scored in double figures in all but five games, becoming just the sixth player in program history to score 40+ points in a single game with his 40-point performance against Brandeis on Feb. 15.

Off the court, Oprea, a double major in finance and economics, is a three-time UAA All-Academic selection, three-time CSC Academic All-District honoree, a member of the NABC Honors Court and the Dean's List, and was named one of Rochester's 10 Lysle 'Spike' Garnish Scholar-Athletes this past fall. On campus, the senior is an analyst for the Meliora Finance and Investment Group and has TAed for multiple courses, including MKT 203 and ECON 224. While back home in Dallas, Oprea is a four-year member and served as the Vice President of Communications for the Young Men's Service League, Coppell Chapter, and volunteers for Feed My Starving Children in Richardson, TX.

Academic All-District selections will be evaluated by a sub-committee and advanced to the national, All-America ballot, to be voted on by CSC members within their respective divisions.

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's and women's basketball honorees in four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
