PITTSFORD, NY – The University of Rochester golf team set one and matched three other tournament records, ending in a tie for first place at the annual Fred B. Kravetz Invitational at Oak Hill Country Club on Saturday.

URochester ended the event with a 569 team score over the two rounds, matching John Carroll for first place. The tiebreaker victory for the team trophy went to the Blue Streaks, with John Carroll recording a better non-counting fifth score in the final round.

Overall on day two, UR set a new single-round team record at the tournament, shooting a 3-under 277 score. The total score for the two tied teams atop the leaderboard also established a tournament 36-hole team scoring record, breaking the mark of 571 set by Methodist at last year's event.

Individually, sophomore Alvin Su finished as the tournament medalist with a 36-hole score of 139, tying the individual record set by last year's champion, Hayden Ruby of Methodist. On Saturday, Su fired a 1-under par of 69 at the par-70, 6,735-yard layout at Oak Hill. The All-American had 15 pars, two birdies and one bogey on his scorecard.

Junior Arjun Aujla also had a record-setting day at the course, firing a career-best score of 66 on day two. Aujla jumped up 19 spots on the individual leaderboard and ended in seventh place overall with a total score of 144.

Aujla's second round score matches the lowest individual round in program history, with only four others, including Su, shooting 66's. It also ties the tournament record for lowest round, equaling the 66 shot by John Carroll's Daniel Donahue on Friday during the first round at Locust Hill.

Over the back nine, Aujla was a remarkable four-under, shooting an eagle on the par-4 12th hole, back-to-back birdies on holes 17 and 18, along with seven pars. The junior added two birdies and two bogeys on his front nine.

Sophomore Galen Fowles and first-year Anderson Palm matched each other over the 36 holes, tying for ninth place overall on the leaderboard with scores of 145. Fowles was even par on Saturday with a 70, while Palm carded a 72 in the final round.

Fowles had four birdies and four bogeys over his round, with Palm rebounding from a three-bogey start on the first three holes, to settle in with three birdies and two bogeys the rest of the way.

The final golfer in URochester's starting lineup was senior Josh Pethel who ended tied for 17th with a 150 total score. He carded a 76 on Saturday.

URochester also had two individuals competing at the event, which is the teams lone home tournament of the season. Senior Marshall Kim shot 78 in the final round and ranked tied for 20th overall at 152, while first-year Henry Zhong signed for a 78 on Saturday, scoring 156 overall for the tournament, good for 29th place.

Up next on the schedule is the Liberty League Championships next Friday through Sunday at the Turning Stone Resort in Verona, NY. The winner of that event will earn the conference's automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Tournament.
