Five members of the University of Rochester baseball, men's golf, softball and men's and women's track and field teams received Liberty League weekly honors for their performances this past week, as announced by the conference on Monday.

Alvin Su earned Men's Golf Performer of the Week honors, and softball junior
Riley Laygo was selected as the Softball Performer of the Week, while track & field first-years

Lauren Murphy received Liberty League Men's and Women's Track & Field Rookie of the Week accolades, respectively.

Laygo had another remarkable week at the plate for the Yellowjackets, going 8-for-14 (.571) at the plate. She scored 6 runs, had 2 doubles, 2 home runs, and a whopping 14 RBI over the four contests, helping URochester to a 2-2 record. She slugged 1.143 and added one stolen base, while handling 36-of-37 chances cleanly in the field. Laygo had multiple hits and RBI in three of the four games, also scoring multiple runs twice. Her best game was a 3-for-4 performance with 3 runs, a double, a home run and 6 RBI versus Union in game one on Sunday.

Nelson made four appearances in the week out of the bullpen, finishing with a 0.00 ERA for the Yellowjackets, while also picking up a win. The first-year tossed 7.2 innings and allowed just 1 hit and 0 runs over his outings. He struck out 2 and walked 3, holding opponents to a .043 batting average for the week.

Su was the tournament medalist (out of 35 golfers) for the second week in a row, leading the Yellowjackets to the Liberty League title for the third straight season. Su carded rounds of 71, 70 and 65 to finish at 8-under par (208) for the 54-hole event. He ended up winning the tournament medalist honors in a playoff, securing the win on the third playoff hole. The sophomore's efforts helped URochester rally on the final day, shooting a team score of 15-under par (273), a new team record to finish at 7-under for the tournament, placing first among seven teams.

Hermann finished in the top-3 in two throwing events for URochester this weekend at the RIT Bill Q Invitational. The rookie finished second in the discus with a throw of 45.70 meters and ended third in the hammer throw with a mark of 50.49 meters. Both finishes were AARTFC qualifiers, with the discus mark moving Hermann to number two on the Liberty League performance list this season.

Murphy captured second place in the long jump and ran on the winning 4x400 meter relay on Friday afternoon, competing at the RIT Bill Q Invitational. Murphy's effort in the long jump was 5.61 meters, an AARTFC qualifier and ranks as the third best in the Liberty League this season. Murphy also was on UR's winning relay that posted a time of 3:48.63, the #11 time in Division III this season, with that time also leading the Liberty League heading into this weekend's conference championships.
