WILLIAMSPORT, PA – 18th-ranked University of Rochester men's golf moved up four spots on the final day of competition at the Northeast Elite Invitational to finish fourth at 26-over, shooting 294 (+10) on Tuesday and 594 for the two-day invitational at Williamsport County Club.

The Yellowjackets posted the second-best round of the day at 10-over par, behind only Penn State Altoona, who finished atop the 18-team field at 10-over par overall, and one-over on Tuesday. Gettysburg took second at 21-over par, while Franklin Marshall just edged Rochester for third place at 24-over.

Henry Zhong led URochester on day two and over the two days, shooting two-under on Tuesday and one-over overall, good for a tie for third place on the individual leaderboard. Zhong put together a stellar front nine with four birdies, including on the par-three, 190-yard third hole, shooting three-under through the first nine holes, and then added two more birdies on the back nine to card a 69, two-under par.

Rochester's next-highest finisher was Anderson Palm, who finished in a tie for 15th after shooting three-over on Tuesday to finish at six-over for the invitational. Palm notched a pair of birdies over his 18 holes, one each on the front nine and back nine, shooting a consistent 37 over both the first and last nine holes.

One of Palm's birdies came on the par-five 16, a 514-yard hole that all five competing Yellowjackets sank a birdie on.

Next up for URochester was Galen Fowles, who came into the day at three-over par and shot a four-over round to finish at seven-over par, in a tie for 18th. Fowles also birdied the par-five 16th hole, and added another birdie on the front nine on the par-five six hole.

Tommy Wang rounded out Rochester's four scoring golfers on day two of competition, surging 16 spots up the leaderboard to finish in a tie for 43rd. Wang shot five-over and 12-over across the two-day competition, tallying one birdie across his 18 holes.

Arjun Aujla was the Yellowjackets' final golfer competing in Williamsport, and the senior finished tied for 69th after shooting his second eight-over round of the invitational. Aujla finished at 16-over par, tallying one birdie over his final 18 holes.

Individually, Penn State Altoona's Max Mottura won the event, shooting two-under and a five-under round, the lone competitor to finish under par across the two rounds.

The Yellowjackets will wrap up their fall slate on Monday, Oct. 12, when they travel to Ligonier, PA, for the Tartan Invitational, hosted by Carnegie Mellon University at the Laurel Valley Golf Course.
