All-League Golf Team Announced, Four ‘Jackets and Coaches Honored

The University of Rochester golf team received six total awards on the All-Liberty League golf team for the 2025-26 season, as announced by the Liberty League conference on Thursday morning.
 
URochester secured the Player of the Year and had the co-Coaching Staff of the Year, while four individuals were named to the All-League teams, two earning First Team accolades and two others being named to the Second Team.
 
Sophomore Alvin Su was named the Player of the Year, becoming the Yellowjackets ninth all-time Player of the Year recipient in the Liberty League.
 
The coaching staff, led by Dan Wesley, earns the program's fifth Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year award, and third straight overall, correlating with back-to-back-to-back conference tournament titles and NCAA Division III Tournament appearances. Joining Wesley on the coaching staff are assistants Ben Harmon and Matt van Niekerk.
 
Additionally, Su was named First Team All-Liberty League along with first-year teammate Anderson Palm. Junior Arjun Aujla and sophomore Galen Fowles were the Yellowjackets Second Team all-conference picks.
 
Coaching Staff of the Year:
Dan Wesley, Ben Harmon, Matt van Niekerk – 5th Coaching Staff of the Year award (2014, 2017, 2024, 2025); It was a terrific season on the course for the Yellowjackets, with the team competing in nine events overall and claiming a top-3 finish in five of them, including first place finish three times. One of the wins was the Liberty League Championship in which URochester mounted a massive comeback on day three, posting a team-record low round of 273 (15-under) to post a six-stroke victory. At the NCAA Championships, the Yellowjackets made a playoff for the final spot to make the cut, but were edged out, ending the tournament in a tie for 18th place among 43 teams at the national championships. This season, UR's team scoring averaged ended at 293.8 strokes per round, ranking second in school history to the 2024-25 squad. In addition to the win at the Liberty League Tournament, UR also was first at the Northeast Elite Invitational in the fall, ended tied for first at the UR Fred Kravetz Invitational and ended as runner-up at the CMU Tartan Invitational and tied for second at the UAA Match Play Championship.
 
Player of the Year/1st Team:
Alvin Su (SO, Shanghai, China/Shanghai United International School) – 2nd/3rd All-LL honor (2025 2nd Team); Su has been URochester's unquestioned best player in 2025-26, compiling a scoring average of 71.38 for the season, which breaks his own team record set last year as a first-year. The sophomore has three event wins, including at the Liberty League Championship, 3 top-5's and 4 top-10's across eight total events. Su is ranked #14 in the most recent Scoreboard/Clippd rankings in Division III and helped the 'Jackets rally to claim their third straight Liberty League title. Su is a 6-time Liberty League Performer of the Week this season and has a whopping 13 rounds at or below par in 2025-26, with a low-round of 66 which is tied for second-best in UR program history.
 
1st Team:
Anderson Palm (FY, Western Springs, IL/Lyons Township) – 1st All-LL honor; Palm has been a starter all season long for the Yellowjackets, competing in eight events and finishing with two top-10 results. He has averaged 74.43 strokes per round (21 rounds) and is the third highest ranked individual in Region II according to the Scoreboard/Clippd rankings (#229 overall). The first-year player has had four rounds at or below par this season, with a season-best of 71 coming twice at the Liberty League Championship where he finished in a tie for 8th place, aiding in the Yellowjackets claiming their third straight conference crown.
 
2nd Team:
Arjun Aujla (JR, Greenbrae, CA/Redwood) – 2nd All-LL honor (2025 1st Team); Aujla was a regular in the Yellowjacket lineup in 2025-26, competing in all eight stroke play events and finishing third on the team with a 74.81 scoring average through 21 rounds. He finished in the top-10 once, coming at the Fred Kravetz Invitational (T-7th), when he also set a tournament single-round scoring record with a 66 (6-under) on day two of the tournament. Aujla also ranked inside the top-15 in three other tournaments and was the second highest ranked player on the Yellowjackets according to the Scoreboard/Clippd rankings (#181 overall), which was second in Region II.
 
Galen Fowles (SO, Florence, MA/Northampton) – 1st All-LL honor; Fowles finished the season with 21 rounds played across all eight stroke play tournaments, averaging 75.38 strokes per round. The sophomore finished inside the top-10 twice, coming at the Fred Kravetz Invitational (T-9th) and Liberty League Championship (10th). At Liberty League's he established a URochester single-round record low score of 7-under, 65, on day three, helping the Yellowjackets mount their final day rally for the team title. Additionally, Fowles was tied for the team-best result at the NCAA Division III Championships, ending in a tie for 61st place after UR's two rounds.
