Five members of the University of Rochester women's tennis program, as well as the team as a whole, earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Academic Awards, as announced by the ITA on Wednesday.
Seniors
Sanjana Karnam and
Jasmin Toor, sophomore
Lilly Caldwell and first-years
Hailey Kornbluth and
Esther Wang secured ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition, while the women's tennis team garnered ITA All-Academic team honors for the 21st-straight year.
Student-athletes must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.00 scale for the current academic year to be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, while programs must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above on a 4.00 scale to earn ITA All-Academic Team accolades.
In total, 1,309 NCAA Division III women's student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes, and 177 Women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction in 2026.
