Biography

At UR 2012-13: Capped off an amazing career at Rochester being named a consensus 1st Team All-American (NABC, D3hoops.com, DIII News, USBWA) and National Player of the Year by D3hoops.com and DIII News...Set career highs in scoring (22.6 ppg), rebounding (5.7), 3-point shooting (45.8%), free throw shooting (90.8%) and blocks (11) in starting all 27 games...Ends career ranked 3rd All-Time in career scoring (1,779 points), 2nd in assists (533), 2nd in steals (201) and 2nd in free throws (520)...Ranked in the top 10 in NCAA Division III in scoring and free throw shooting...Named UAA Player of the Year for the second time, only the 5th person ever to earn that honor multiple times...Finalist for the Jostens Trophy in addition to being named ECAC Upstate NY Player of the Year and East Region Player of the Year by D3hoops.com...Member of the UAA's 25th Anniversary team and was selected to play in the Reese's Division III Senior All-Star Game in Salem, VA...Scored the fourth most points in a game for a UR player, pouring in a career high 42 against Fitchburg State in the 1st round of the NCAA Tournament...Holds the single game free throw record for Rochester, hitting 19-19 from the line against Brandeis on Jan. 27...Earned UR's Louis Alexander Alumni Award and was the Paychex Local Male College Athlete of the Year presented by the Rochester Press Radio Club.

At UR 2011-12: The junior started all 25 games for the Yellowjackets...Second straight year as an All-UAA First Team selection...Named DIII News All-American follwoing season...Led team in scoring (19.1 ppg.), assists (145), and steals (56)...Second in rebounding, grabbing 126 boards (5.0 rpg.)...Shot 47.2% from the floor (152-322), 37.0% outside the arc (44-119), and 89.0% from the line (129-145)...Scored a career high 40 points, added nine rebounds and six assists in 92-73 victory over Emory University in the season finale...Double figures in 23 of 25 games played...Scored 21 points at Chicago on January 29 to become 26th player in school history to reach 1,000 career points...Ranked 2nd in the UAA in scoring, 2nd in assists, 1st in steals and 3rd in FT%.

At UR 2010-11: Had an exceptional sophomore year which culminated in him being named UAA Player of the Year, the fourth Yellowjacket to be honored as player of the year...Also named First Team All-UAA and NABC All-American...Led the UAA in scoring, at 17.7 ppg, and finished 2nd in assists, at 5.7 per game, despite missing the first five games of the season...Was named UAA player of the week four times....Against Carnegie Mellon on Jan 21, he was one rebound shy of recording the first triple-double in school history, as he put up 12 points, 11 assists and 9 rebounds...Two days later, against Case on Jan 23, he matched his career high by scoring 30 points...Had a stellar performance in his first NCAA playoff game, as he scored 25 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in a 81-70 first round victory over Elms College.

At UR 2009-10: As a freshman, emerged as a force on both ends of the court for the Yellowjackets...Started all 25 games and led the team with 114 assists, and 74 free throws made...Also led the UAA with 56 steals...Finished second on the team with 11.4 ppg...Made a name for himself early on, as he was named Tournament MVP of the UR/Holiday Inn Airport Thanksgiving Invitational, highlighted by a 11 point, seven assist performance in the championship game against the University of Scranton on November 29...In the semi-finals of the Wendy's College Classic, he scored a career high 30 points, sparking a 70-64 victory over Roberts Wesleyan on January 15, and was later named to the All-Tournament team...Recorded a career high 10 assists in a 81-68 victory over NYU on February 21...Named UAA Rookie of the Year, the fourth player in Rochester history to win the award...Was also named Second Team All-UAA.

HS: Attended Staples High School in Westport, CT...A scholar athlete who earned three letters as a guard for the Wreckers...Senior year was selected as co-captain and co-MVP while earning first team All-Conference honors...As a junior earned second team All-Conference and Connecticut Post Honorable Mention accolades...Averaged 20 points per game and made 70 three point field goals as a senior.
