Biography

At UR 2012-13: Saw time in 25 games (1 start) as a senior, scoring 36 points on the season...Hit 10 3-pointers and was a perfect 4-4 from the free throw line...Handed out nine assists and grabbed nine rebounds for UR...Scored a season high nine points on three trey's against SUNY Cobleskill in the opening round of the UR Holiday Inn Airport Tournament.

At UR 2011-12: The junior saw time in 12 games and logged 57 minutes.

At UR 2010-11: In his sophomore year on the River Campus, Shapiro saw action in 27 games...Recorded 38 points...Knocked down 11 three pointers.

At UR 2009-10: Shapiro's rookie campaign saw him play in four games...In first career game with the Yellowjackets, he knocked down a three-pointer with just over three minutes remaining to help seal a 68-59 victory over Green Mountain College in the first round of the Chuck Resler Tournament on November 20.

HS: Member of the Latin Honor Society and earned High Honor Roll at Ridgewood High School in Ridgewood, New Jersey...Earned two letters as a guard for the Maroons...Co-captain who earned first team All-Conference and honorable mention All-County as a senior...Averaged 12 points per game for a team that appeared in the county and state playoffs.
