Biography

At UR 2016-17: Finished off career with a record of 38-22 after a 10-4 mark during senior season...Matched his career high in wins, playing at 6-7-8 for the Yellowjackets...Had wins over nationally ranked opponents from Princeton and St. Lawrence...Earned match clinching point at #8 in 5th place match at the CSA Potter Cup Tournament on Feb. 19, going 3-0 overall during the team championship competition.

At UR 2015-16: Posted a career high 10 wins during junior season, ending the year with a 10-5 mark, all coming in dual matches...Had two wins over nationally ranked opponents, coming against Yale's Piersono Broadwater (#52) in UR's win over the #2 Bulldogs on Jan. 17...Also, defeated Derek Hsue (#22) of Penn in the quarterfinals of the CSA Potter Cup Tournament, helping the Yellowjackets eventually reach the national championship match for the first time in school history.

At UR 2014-15: The sophomore ended his second year on the River Campus with a 9-7 record, playing at the #6 and #7 positions...Earned biggest win of the year in final match, winning 3-0 over Joseph Roberts of Yale, helping Rochester capture 5th place at the Potter Cup Tournament of the CSA Team Championships...Posted wins over nationally ranked opponents Kevin Flannery of Cornell and Danial Saleem of Columbia.

At UR 2013-14: Played in all 15 matches during his freshman season, finishing with a 9-6 record...Played from 5-7 in the ladder, going 4-1 at #6 during the year...Went 2-1 for UR during the CSA Team Championships, helping the Yellowjackets capture 7th place...Was selected to play in the CSA Individual Championships but did not travel to the tournament...Won first five matches of career.

HS: Attended the Friends School of Baltimore after moving to the USA from Iran...Was a member of the squash team...Went undefeated for two seasons and won the conference individual title two years in a row.

Prep: Won Iran's U13, U15, U17 and U19 squash national titles...Reached #1 ranking of U17 boys in the USA for the 2010-11 season.
