SUNY Geneseo captured 3rd place in the 2011 Women's Flower City Soccer Tournament Saturday by defeating Medaille 9-0.

Leading the way for Geneseo was senior Anne Beinetti who compiled two goals and two assists. Senior Melanie Rocchio and junior Emily Novak had two goals each for the Blue Knights (1-1). The remaining goals were scored by sophomores Erin Beach and Kelly Quinn with junior Cailin Kowalewski tallying the last score of the game. Four other players recorded assists in the game for Geneseo.

Goalies Julia Sanger and Allison Stamp split halves in net for Geneseo.

The shorthanded Mavericks (0-2) didn't lack effort but could just never get any momentum going and were held without a shot in the game. Mavericks goalie Denay O'Connor totaled 11 saves in the game.

The championship game of the Flower City Tournament pits the University of Rochester (1-0) against Skidmore College (1-0).
