The University of Pennsylvania swept to its fifth consecutive victory on Saturday afternoon, this one a 6-3 decision over the University of Rochester in a matchup of the #5 and #6-ranked teams.

Sixth-ranked Penn has conceded only four points this year. The Quakers defeated Franklin & Marshall, 9-0, Drexel, 8-1, George Washington, 9-0, and Virginia, 9-0, before winning against Rochester. Penn improved to 5-0. Rochester is 3-1. On Sunday, UR will host Princeton while Penn goes to Canton, NY to take on #4 St. Lawrence. Princeton won at SLU on Saturday while Penn and UR were playing.

Matthew Toth and
Rodrigo Porras were the individual Yellowjacket winners and they dug in for every point. Porras, in the #8 position, needed four sets to defeat Will Hagen, 11-5, 6-11, 11-7, 11-9. Toth, who won a five-setter vs. Western Ontario on Thursday night, won another five-setter on Saturday. He rallied from a 2-0 hole against David Yacobucci. After dropping the first two sets, 9-11 and 7-11, Toth won, 11-9, in set three, then duplicated it in set four to even the sets at two apiece. In the fifth set, Toth took control, winning, 11-5.

Davies won a five-setter as well with challenging results against Andrew Douglas. Davies won the opener, 11-9, then lost, 5-11, in the second set. He moved back in front with an 11-9 win on set three, but Douglas blanked him in the fourth set, 11-0. Davies rallied to seize the team point with an 11-4 score in the fifth set.

Lawrence Kuhn, (11-9, 5-1, 11-7, 12-10) at #4. Michael Hehl won, 3-1, over
Thijs Van Der Pluijm at #5 (13-11, 10-12, 11-8, 11-9). At #6, Karim Tarek defeated
Marcus Sim, 14-12, 3-11, 12-10, 11-8. Yash Bhargava defeated
Cesar Segundo at #7, 11-6, 3-11, 11-9, 10-12, 11-9. The final Penn point was earned by Jonathan Zeitels at #9 over
Alex Riedelsheimer (5-11, 11-8, 11-9, 11-8).

Siddhant Iyer won an exhibition match vs. Alex Norman, 11-6, 11-4, 11-9. That was the only match of the day to be determined by a 3-0 count.
