Senior goalkeeper
Emma Schechter earned recognition from the University Athletic Association as the conference women's soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
The honor is the second this season for Schechter as she was key in Rochester's 1-1 double-overtime draw with #7 Chicago on Saturday.
Schechter finished with 10 saves as Rochester drew even on the road with 7th-ranked Maroons who entered the game 10-0-1. The 10 saves were one shy of Schechter's season high, but she faced a total of 27 shots against, the most on the season against her.
Overall, the UR keeper has a 4-2-2 record and 0.97 goals against average while recording an .814 save percentage. She has faced 102 total shots against, made 35 saves and allowed only eight goals while adding three solo shutouts and one shared clean sheet this season.
