The men's swimming and diving team spread the wealth and the success as the Yellowjackets swept a triangular meet against Alfred University and Fredonia State in the Speegle-Wilbraham Aquatic Center. Matched head to head, the Yellowjackets out-pointed Alfred, 155-128, and topped Fredonia, 185-60. Alfred defeated Fredonia, 205-51. This meet came less than 24 hours after Rochester defeated Nazareth College in a dual meet in Pittsford.

The Yellowjackets won nine individual events, took one relay, two diving events, and swam a final relay event plus the 200 IM as exhibitions. Their results in the last two races would have increased their winning margin.

Rochester's foursome of Jeremy Mah, Alexander Cho, Frank Li, and Grant Yap won the 200 yard medley relay in 1:37.20. Cho won the 100 breaststroke (:59.14) and swam on the closing exhibition 200 free relay with Trevor Hoch, Bryce Berkhof, and Sidney Miller (timed in 1:28.74).

Yap was first in the 50 free (:21.97) while Li took first in the 100 fly (:52.95). Mah was clocked n :53.82 in the 100 backstroke to capture that event. The other Yellowjacket individual winners were Bruno Coelho in the 1,000 free (10:19.50), Jose Corredor-Alvarez in the 200 freestyle (1:48.98), Ed K. Domanico in the 200 backstroke (2:01.40), and Berkhof in the 500 free (4:52.30). Corredor-Alvarez swam the 200 IM as an exhibition (2:02.94).

In the diving wells, David Robinson broke the Rochester one meter record for six dives (325.00). It was held by Stephen Savchik at 320.20. On the three-meter board, he scored a 301.60. Both scores were NCAA qualifying marks. Adam Hopson was second on the one meter board (279.15) and on the three meter board (292.10). His three meter score was a personal best for that board and was his second NCAA qualifying score.
