After a brief, but successful 2021 swimming and diving season, four members of the University of Rochester swimming and diving program were awarded All-American status by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
 
Due to the cancellation of their respective national championships, All-American selection procedures were adjusted for the 2020-21 season. Swimming selections were made on the basis of verified performances in bona-fide competition submitted by a respective coaches. Division III diving selections were conducted via a video evaluation of performances during the academic year.
 
The four Yellowjackets combined to earn a total of five All-America honors, with UR divers earning four of the five awards.
 
Sophomore freestyle swimmer Jose Corredor Alvarez earned 1st Team honors from the CSCAA in the 1650 freestyle. First-year diver David Robinson was awarded 2nd Team status on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards. One All-American award went to junior diver Adam Hopson and sophomore diver Sophie Lever, both coming in the 1-meter event.
 

In order to earn 1st team status, Corredor Alvarez (Caracas, Venezuela) was ranked inside the top-8 of all Division III swimmers in the 1650 free, clocking in with a season best time of 16:12.10, coming in a first place finish at the Rochester Invitational at the end of March. Overall, in five individual events the sophomore swam this season, he earned four event wins and a runner-up. The All-American honor backs up a record-breaking first-year season from 2019-20, as Corredor Alvarez ended up setting UR records in the 500, 1000 and 1650 freestyle.
 

Robinson's strong first-year season saw him earn All-American status on both boards following his performance at both UR's dual meet against Nazareth and the Rochester Invitational as well. The Pittsford, New York native scored a runner-up finish in the 3-meter board with a score of 289.90 points at the UR Invitational. Robinson also earned an event win in the 1-meter diving against Nazareth on February 27th, scoring 307.12 points. He becomes just the third UR diver in school history to earn All-American honors in both events during the same season, joining Scott Richardson (1987, 1988) and Stephen Savchik (2020). Second team All-Americans were ranked among the top-16 in their respective events.
 

Hopson earns his first All-American award after compiling a season-best score of 284.00 points during the UR Invitational, earning runner-up honors on the 1-meter board. Hopson also finished third in UR's dual meet against Nazareth in February, earning nearly the same score, finishing with 281.32 points. With Hopson's All-American award, added to Robinson's, UR men's divers have now earned a total of 11 All-American honors in program history. Hopson is a native of Ithaca, NY.
 

Representing the women's team, Lever is the only repeat All-American for the Yellowjackets this season, earning her honor based on the sophomore's 1-meter performance against Nazareth on February 26th. Lever posted a score of 259.49 points, finishing third in the meet that day. Last season, Lever earned All-American honors on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards after qualifying for the NCAA Division III Championships before the pandemic forced the cancellation of the national competition. Lever's award is the fourth in school history for the divers from the women's team. Danielle Neu was a 3-meter All-American prior to Lever's three awards over the last two seasons.
