The University of Rochester soccer team has added two coaches to the coaching staff prior to the start of the 2021 season, with Augusto Lima and Tomas Potts joining the program.

Lima joins the Yellowjackets as an assistant coach after serving as a second assistant at Division I Bucknell University for the last two seasons. While with Bucknell, Lima served as Recruiting Coordinator, assisted in the development of team training and managed the Bison team social media accounts.

Prior to his stint at Bucknell, Lima was an assistant coach at his alma mater, Susquehanna University for two seasons. During his time in Pennsylvania, Lima also coached at the Miller Center for Sports and Recreation and North Union United Soccer Club.

He holds a United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeping Level 3 Diploma and has a United States Soccer Federation D License.

Lima enjoyed a successful playing career at Susquehanna University, helping the River Hawks to two Landmark Conference championships. He served as team captain and appeared in 27 games in goal during his career. He ranks third in program history in goals against average, and fourth in shutouts and wins.

He also played soccer with the Southern California Sports Club and was involved with the U15, U17, and U19 Guarani Futebol Clube teams in his native country of Brazil.

Lima graduated from Susquehanna University in 2016 with a bachelors degree in Business Administration.

For Potts, he comes to the River Campus after serving as a volunteer assistant coach with the United States Naval Academy for the last two seasons. Also, during that time, he served as a goalkeeper coach and then Director of Goalkeeping at the Baltimore Armour Developmental Academy.

In addition, Potts coached with the Maryland Olympic Development Program and was an Assistant Coach as Howard Community College.

Potts played collegiately for two seasons at UMBC before being a part of the Georgia Southern program during the spring of 2018. While at UMBC, he was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

He holds a US Soccer National D License and has United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeping Level 1 online diploma.

Potts earned his bachelors degree in Sports Management in December of 2020 from Towson University.
