University of Rochester junior midfielder Milos Bisenic was named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Men's Scholar All-East Region Team, as announced by the United Soccer Coaches on Wednesday.

Bisenic, a second-team selection, becomes the Yellowjackets' first United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Region selection since Zach Lawlor `20 received both Scholar All-Region and Scholar All-America honors in 2019.

A First-Team All-University Athletic Association (UAA) selection and a Third-Team All-Region III honoree, Bisenic led Rochester with 17 points this season, scoring seven goals and dishing out three assists on 43 shots (18 on goal). The junior appeared in all 18 games, making 17 starts, and scored three game-winners, tied for the fourth-most in the UAA. Bisenic also ranked fifth in the UAA in goals and shots, tied for fifth in points and eighth in shots on goal.

This Nis, Serbia native scored a pair of game-winners in conference play against No. 3 WashU and at Carnegie Mellon, as well as in non-conference play at York (PA). Against the Spartans, Bisenic tallied URochester's first hat trick since 2021, scoring three goals in the span of less than eight minutes to help the Yellowjackets rally from a two-goal deficit.

A computer science major with a minor in business, Bisenic is a two-time UAA All-Academic selection, a two-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree, and has been named to the Dean's List four times. The junior also received the Schwartz Discovery Grant, as well as an International Baccalaureate Scholarship.

Off the field, Bisenic has been doing research since April, mentored by Professor Anson Kahng, with Professor Jens Kipper and Alina Chadwick on enhancing coherence in large language models. While this past summer, Bisenic worked at Flow Ninja back home in Serbia as a software engineering intern.

To be eligible for Scholar All-Region and All-America honors, student-athletes must have a minimum of a 3.40 cumulative GPA, be a junior or above, play a minimum of 75 percent of games, and be seen as an elite player as supported by honors like All-America, All-Region or All-Conference.
