The United Soccer Coaches released their Division III All-Region Teams on Tuesday, with three individuals from the University of Rochester men's soccer team earning recognition from the coaches in Region III.
Junior
Milos Bisenic was named a Third Team honoree, while graduate student
Kamal Ibrahim and sophomore
Johnny Makula were both Fourth Team All-Region selections. Bisenic earns his second-straight All-Region honor after being named Second Team in 2024.
All three players have now received two postseason honors in 2025. All were All-Association in the UAA this season, with Bisenic being a First Team and both Ibrahim and Makula being selected to the conference Second Team.
Rochester's 2025 season saw the Yellowjackets end with a 9-5-4 record overall and 3-1-1 mark in the University Athletic Association conference. After dropping its opening two matches of the regular season, the URochester squad rattled off an 11-match unbeaten streak over a month and a half, aided by strong play from the three All-Region selections.
Bisenic, a midfielder, was URochester's leading scorer this season, ending with 17 points, coming on seven goals and three assists, both team-bests. The junior had 43 shot attempts and 18 shots on goal, was 2-of-2 on penalty kick attempts and had three game-winning goals. He logged 1,154 minutes played and appeared in all 18 games, starting 17 of them. His best game of the year came in a 3-2 comeback win over York (PA) on September 27, with the junior recording a hat trick, helping the 'Jackets rally from a 2-goal deficit. Bisenic had the game-winning goal and an assist in Rochester's win over #3 WashU on October 24 and he also scored the lone goal in a 1-0 road win at Carnegie Mellon on November 1.
Ibrahim, a graduate student, was an impact player along the front line for the 'Jackets, ending third on the team with ten points, scoring four goals and chipping in a pair of assists. He played in all 18 games, logging seven starts in his final season. Ibrahim finished with 30 shots and 15 shots on goal and tallied the game-winning goal on September 24 at SUNY Geneseo. In addition to the game-winner, the graduate student added scores against Alvernia and UAA-opponents Case Western Reserve and Brandeis.
Makula was second on the team in scoring in 2025, finishing with five goals and two assists. He led Rochester with 45 shot attempts and 23 shots on goal while playing 1,235 minutes from the forward position. The sophomore scored goals against Alvernia, St. John Fisher, NYU, #3 WashU and #6 Emory this season, with the St. John Fisher and NYU tallies being the game-winning goal. Overall, he scored at least a point in four of URochester's seven UAA contests, with three of those games being against nationally-ranked foes.
