University of Rochester men's basketball will open the 2022-23 season in Geneseo, NY on Tuesday, Nov. 8 against SUNY Geneseo at 7:30 p.m.

The Yellowjackets ended the 2021-22 season with an 18-9 (8-6 UAA) record and made an NCAA tournament run, falling in the second round to No. 2 Marietta, 88-83 in double overtime.

The 'Jackets head into the 2022-23 campaign as the University Athletic Association (UAA) preseason favorite, as well as No. 11 in the D3hoops.com Preseason Poll.

Following their season debut, later that week UR will compete in the Chuck Resler Tournament at the Louis Alexander Palestra. The Yellowjackets play UT Dallas on Friday, Nov. 11 at 8 p.m., with the consolation game slated for Saturday, Nov. 12 at 3:00 p.m. and the championship game at 8 p.m.

The weekend after, the 'Jackets compete in the Marks Pizzeria Crosstown Shootout, facing St. John Fisher on Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. and Nazareth College on Nov. 19 at 6 p.m., with both games hosted by RIT.

Hitting the road, UR next travels to Geneva, NY for a mid-week match-up against Hobart College on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 8 p.m.

Almost two weeks later, the 'Jackets are back in action on Dec. 3 and 4 in the Palestra for the UAA/NESCAC Challenge. Rochester is slated to take on Bowdoin College at 4 p.m. on Saturday and Middlebury College at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Continuing their homestand, the Yellowjackets then host the Ithaca Bombers for a midweek match-up on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 8 p.m.

Later that week, UR will journey to the Buckeye state, taking on The College of Wooster on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 2:15 p.m.

Following the holiday break, the 'Jackets conclude non-conference play, facing cross-town opponent RIT at home on Tuesday, Jan. 3 at 5 p.m.

Rochester then kicks off the first leg of University Athletic Association (UAA) play, taking on conference partner Emory in Atlanta, GA on Jan. 7 at 4 p.m.

Next up, the Yellowjackets have their first UAA doubleheader of the season, hosting Case Western and Carnegie Mellon on Jan. 13 and Jan. 15. All UAA doubleheaders are played on a Friday-Sunday cadence with game times being 7:30 p.m. on Friday and 12:00 p.m. for Sunday.

The following weekend, UR has a road doubleheader, facing the Brandeis Judges and the NYU Violets, with their contest at the Judges slated for Friday, Jan. 20 and the Violets slated for Sunday, Jan. 22.

Rochester wraps up the first leg of UAA play with matchups against Washington University in St. Louis and the University of Chicago. The Yellowjackets face the Bears on Friday, Jan. 27 and the Maroons on Sunday, Jan. 29, both at home inside the Palestra.

Beginning the second leg of conference play, the 'Jackets first hits the road for a pair of Midwest rematches, battling WashU and UChicago, on Feb. 3 and Feb. 5, respectively.

Continuing their stretch of road doubleheaders, UR plays their last road games of the season in Cleveland, OH and Pittsburgh, PA, as they take on Case Western on Feb. 10 and Carnegie Mellon on Feb. 12.

The last UAA doubleheader of the season takes place at home, as the Yellowjackets host Brandeis and NYU on Feb. 17 and Feb. 19.

To wrap up the regular season, UR concludes their 2022-23 regular season vs. Emory University with a one-game weekend at home. The 'Jackets face off with the Eagles on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 2 p.m.

Should they reach it, the first round of the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament is slated for March 3-4.
