Leah Tang were named University Athletic Association (UAA) Athletes of the Week in their respective sports, as announced by the conference on Monday.
Grover earned her third UAA Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week selection this season after powering Rochester's offense with three goals during the first two rounds of the NCAA Division III Tournament, lifting the Yellowjackets into the Sectional Round this coming weekend.
In UR's opening round, 2-1 win over Penn State Behrend, Grover scored both goals, coming in the 5th and the 49th (PK) minutes to lead the Yellowjackets to victory. While in Sunday's round two matchup against Misericordia, the senior needed just 1:13 to notch the game's opening goal in UR's eventual 2-1 win. Grover finished the weekend with nine total shots, four of which were on frame. Overall, she played 168 of a possible 180 minutes up front for the Yellowjackets.
McClung was a six-time winner in seven swims over the weekend for Rochester, earning himself UAA Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week honors, as he helped the Yellowjackets go 3-0 in dual match competition.
On Friday against Nazareth, McClung won the 200-meter freestyle in 2:01.27, while also winning the 200-meter free relay (1:39.83) and 400-meter medley relay (3:59.05). On Saturday in the double-dual competition, McClung won three individual events, capturing first in the 100 butterfly (51.66, #57 NCAA), 100 backstroke (51.91, #38 NCAA) and 100 freestyle (47.82, #90 NCAA), also ending as runner-up on UR's 200 medley relay (1:37.28). McClung's 100 fly time on Saturday also tied the Alfred U. pool record.
Tang was named the UAA Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week after posting four event wins in a 3-0 weekend in the pool.
On Friday in a dual against Nazareth, the junior won on UR's 400-meter medley relay (4:36.00) and was runner-up in the 100-meter breaststroke (1:19.81), as the Yellowjackets won 165-76. During Saturday's double-dual against Alfred and Fredonia, Tang was a triple-winner, touching first in the 100 backstroke (1:00.68, #83 NCAA), the 100 butterfly (1:00.41) and was on UR's winning 200 freestyle relay (1:43.48).
Wozinski earns UAA Men's Diving Athlete of the Week honors after winning four times over the weekend, helping the Yellowjackets to a 3-0 weekend sweep in the pool, winning against Nazareth, Alfred and Fredonia.
On Friday against Naz, the first-year scored 239.40 on the one-meter board and 236.55 on the three-meter board, capturing first place in each event. Then during Saturday's double-dual against Alfred and Fredonia, he scored 221.05 in the three-meter event and 224.20 on the one-meter board, securing two more event wins.
