BIRMINGHAM, AL – The University of Rochester senior sprinter Susan Bansbach and the 4x400 meter relay team of Bansbach, Megan Bell, Kristin Hardy and Kate Isaac qualified for Saturday's NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Finals at the 2023 NCAA DIII Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday at the Birmingham CrossPlex.

Bansbach ran a season's best 56.07 in the 400-meter preliminaries to qualify for Saturday's finals, finishing second in her heat and third overall. The 2022-23 USTFCCCA Niagara Region Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Year, Bansbach qualified for the 400m finals for the second-consecutive year after finishing fourth and earning All-America honors in 2022.

Then in Friday's 4x400 meter preliminaries, Bansbach, along with Bell, Hardy and Isaac, ran a 3:49.23 relay time, good for second in their heat and fourth overall to qualify for Saturday's finals, again for the second-straight year.

The Yellowjackets ran top-4 times in all four legs of the relay, as UR's relay ran its second-fastest time of the year.

Madeline O'Connell also qualified and ran the 400 meters for Rochester, with her 57.42 time placing the senior third in her heat and 12th overall, just shy of the qualifying mark for Saturday's final.
