GENESEO, NY – The University of Rochester women's track and field team opened up the 2023 outdoor campaign with some solid results in the distance and throwing events on day one at the SUNY Geneseo Early Season Invitational on Sunday afternoon.
The cooler temperatures and large fields in throwing events allowed for the meet to be split into two days, with only seven events in each gender taking place during the opening day of competition.
Rochester secured three All-Atlantic Regional meet qualifying performances, coming in the 3000 meter steeplechase and the discus.
Rochester's
Kat Benninger and

Alissa Beam ended eighth (12:26.30).
