Four Yellowjackets from the University of Rochester men's and women's swimming & diving and women's soccer programs were selected as University Athletic Association (UAA) Athletes of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday.

Ariana Pasquella and junior
Julia Sides earning UAA Women's Swimming and Women's Diving Athlete of the Week honors, respectively, while women's soccer graduate goalie
Sydney Moore secured UAA Women's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week honors. And on the men's side, senior
Brendan Habert was named the UAA Men's Diving Athlete of the Week.

Habert was a double-winner for Rochester, as the Yellowjackets opened the season with a loss against NCAA Division I Canisius on Saturday afternoon. The senior recorded a 220.50 score in the 3-meter competition and ended with a 208.90 score on 1-meter, finishing first out of three divers in both events. Rochester as a team fell to Canisius 168-125.

Moore made four saves as Rochester shutout No. 13 Brandeis at home on Saturday, winning 1-0. The graduate student made two saves in each half, including preserving the shutout with a save in the final two minutes of the match.
Pasquella was a double-winner as Rochester posted two wins against Division I foes in Canisius and Siena on Saturday in the season-opener. The senior captured first place in the 100 breaststroke in 1:06.13 and was first to the wall in the 200 breaststroke as well, securing a time of 2:23.65. Her 200 breaststroke time was a new Rochester pool record and is the 4th-best time in Division III in the early part of this season, while the 100 yard distance is 8th in Division III. Pasquella also added a third place finish on the 200 medley relay.
Sides secured two top-3 results in the diving competition as Rochester opened its season with a pair of wins in the pool over Division I opponents. The junior finished first on the three-meter board with a score of 228.50 points over the six-dive meet and also ended third on the one-meter board, scoring 204.70 points.
Sides and Pasquella's results helped Rochester defeat D1 teams Canisius (176.5-122.5) and Siena (153.5-146.5) in the season-opener.
