Springer Secures UAA Athlete of the Week Accolade

University of Rochester women's swimming & diving sophomore Kaela Springer was selected as the University Athletic Association (UAA) Co-Women's Diver of the Week, as announced by the UAA on Monday.

Springer was a double-winner and secured two NCAA Zone qualifying scores in Rochester's dual meet victory over SUNY Cortland on Saturday afternoon. The sophomore diver scored 275.40 points on the 3-meter board, placing first of nine, and also secured a win (of nine) in the 1-meter board, notching a score of 262.50 points.

Both marks hit the NCAA Zone qualifying standard and booked the sophomore a spot at the postseason competition later this season. On the SwimCloud rankings, both of Springer's scores rank in the top-15 in NCAA Division III so far this season, including her 3-meter score, which ranks fifth.
