The University of Rochester men's and women's swimming and diving teams received College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team recognition for their efforts in the classroom during the fall, as announced by the CSCAA on Monday.
Â
781 teams from 459 institutions representing a total of 19,209 student-athletes met the criteria to earn Fall Scholar All-America Team honors, including 175 women's and 143 men's programs in NCAA Division III.
Â
To qualify for this prestigious recognition, teams had to earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 during the 2024 fall semester. Of the selected teams, an impressive 654, including both the Yellowjacket men and women, achieved a GPA of 3.30 or above to qualify for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standings.
Â
The 31 Yellowjacket women combined for a 3.5 Team GPA this past fall, while the men's team, with 26 competing student-athletes, earned a 3.39 Team GPA.
Â
The Rochester women earned CSCAA Scholar All-America Team recognition for the 21st-straight semester, while the men garnered their 19th honor dating back to the mid-2000s when the CSCAA first started the program.
Â
Additionally, the University Athletic Association was also one of just three NCAA Division III conferences and 10 overall that saw 100 percent of both men's and women's programs in the conference earn All-America Team honors for the spring semester.
