Abby Gress earned Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Honorable Mention All-America honors, as announced by the WBCA on Wednesday.

Gress notches her second-consecutive WBCA All-America accolade, having also earned Honorable Mention honors in 2023-24. The graduate student is the 24th All-American in program history, and Rochester's first back-to-back All-American since 2018, when Alexandra Leslie `18 was named an All-American for the fourth-straight season.

A D3hoops.com First-Team All-Region 3 selection and a First-Team All-UAA honoree, Gress led the Yellowjackets across all five major categories this season, averaging 17.2 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.6 steals and 0.5 blocks per game.

Appearing in and starting all 25 games, Gress shot 41.9 percent (164-for-391) from the floor, 29.9 percent (40-for-134) from three and 77.5 percent (62-for-80) from the free-throw line in a team-high 30.0 minutes per game, totaling 430 points, 186 rebounds, 72 assists, 40 steals and 13 blocks in 750 minutes played.

Statistically, Gress' 430 points tied for the 10th-most in a single season in program history, while her 17.2 ppg scoring average ranks 11th and her 164 field goals made tied for 12th. Nationally, Gress also ranked 69th in NCAA Division III in points per game, 75th in field goal attempts, 91st in field goals made and 102nd in points.

Gress started all 25 games for UR, scoring in double figures in all but three. The St. James, NY native also recorded four double-doubles, including just the third triple-double in program history with 15 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists at William Smith on Nov. 26, 2024.

Against Ithaca on Dec. 3, Gress scored a career-high 30 points, adding eight rebounds and six assists in just 23 minutes in a 50-point win, one of seven 20+ point games for the graduate guard/forward. Gress also scored 26 vs. Nazareth on Nov. 23 en route to Mark's Pizzeria Crosstown Shootout All-Tournament honors, and hit the 20+ point mark three times in conference play, tallying 29 points on the road against WashU on Feb. 21.

For her career, Gress graduates ranked 10th in program history in defensive rebounds, 11th in three-point field goals made and attempted, 16th in scoring, rebounds and field goals attempted, tied for 16th in field goals made and 17th in three-point field goal percentage.

The WBCA NCAA Division III Coach of the Year, Player of the Year and Coaches' All-America team are selected by the WBCA NCAA Division III Awards Committee from coaches and student-athletes who are nominated by WBCA member coaches.
