Two members of the University of Rochester women's tennis team were honored on Wednesday afternoon by the University Athletic Association, receiving All-UAA accolades from conference following voting done by the league's coaches.

Senior Josephine Libby and first-year Katie Yang combined for three All-Association honors, with Libby being named Second Team in singles and Honorable Mention in doubles. Yang, who was Libby's partner in doubles, secured Honorable Mention accolades following her inaugural season.

Overall in 2024-25, Rochester's women finished with an 11-9 dual match record, won ten games against in-region opponents and were 11-6 against Division III competition. The win total was UR's most in a season since 2017.

For Libby, the senior ends her career with eight All-UAA honors, being named All-Association in both singles and doubles all four years. This season, she finished with a 14-8 record across singles play and 13-10 in doubles. The senior played #1 in UR's lineup in 17 dual matches, posting a 10-7 mark there, while going 10-8 over 18 dual matches in doubles, all at the number one position.

During the fall, Libby captured her third straight 'A' flight singles title at the William Smith Mary Hosking Invitational while reaching the semifinals with Yang at the ITA Northeast Regional Championships in doubles. In the year-end selection rankings by the NCAA, Libby was ranked 6th in Region II in singles and the Libby-Yang doubles team was #5 in the region.

Yang's first season with Rochester was a successful one overall, as the rookie ended 10-11 overall in singles play and 12-10 in doubles. Yang appeared in 17 total dual matches, playing all 17 at first doubles, while being featured in UR's singles lineup anywhere from #1 through #4. Her 9-8 dual match record in doubles featured key wins over regional opponents from RIT, Ithaca, Union, William Smith, Oneonta and Oswego.
