The University of Rochester women's track and field team picked up two major awards from the Liberty League for the outdoor season following the release of the end-of-season accolades announced by the conference on Wednesday afternoon.
 
Rochester's coaching staff of Sam Albert, Jay Petsch, Matthew Herbert, Susan Bansbach and Paul Rose were selected as the Women's Coaching Staff of the Year, while sophomore Eva Ciuffetelli received Women's Rookie of the Year honors. In addition, 17 total All-Liberty League honors were earned by ten individuals on Rochester, based on individual or relay finishes at last month's conference championship meet.
 
First place finishers are named First Team All-Liberty League, runner-up finishers are Second Team All-League and third place finishers are awarded Honorable Mention status. The major awards, which were released on Wednesday, are voted upon by the league coaches and take into consideration an athletes body of work for the entire season.
 
At the 2025 Liberty League Outdoor Championships, Rochester claimed its fourth straight conference title, edging Ithaca by two points, 193.5 to 191.5, in the team standings.
 
This season, the coaching staff guided Rochester athletes to wins in seven wins at the league championship, two others earning second place results and five individuals securing third place finishes. Throughout 2025, the Yellowjackets were consistently ranked in the top-25 of the Division III Track and Field Rating Index (TFRI), peaking as high as #10 for multiple weeks.
 
Following the win at the conference meet, UR's women finished as the team runner-up at the All-Atlantic Region Outdoor Championships, and later secured a top-20 result at the NCAA Division III Championships, ending 17th among 80 teams that scored in the national meet. Rochester had six All-Americans for the outdoor season, achieving that many All-Americans for the fourth year in a row.
 
Ciuffetelli's inaugural collegiate outdoor season at Rochester featured the sophomore qualifying for the NCAA Division III Championships in two events, the 400 meter hurdles and the 4x400 meter relay. Ciuffetelli was named an All-American in the relay after helping UR to an eighth place result (3:47.44) at NCAA's, while also finishing 22nd overall in the hurdles event at nationals.
 
At the Liberty League meet, Ciuffetelli was on the winning 4x400 meter relay and earned second place in the 400 meter hurdles, helping the Yellowjackets to the team title. The sophomore also had a terrific regional meet, finishing second in both the 400 meter hurdles (PR 1:01.55) and 4x400 meter relay, leading to UR's runner-up team finish. Additionally, she was a four-time Liberty League Rookie of the Week during the outdoor season.
 
Rochester's First Team honorees within the Liberty League in 2025 were led by senior Megan Bell who received three honors. Sophomore Nora Chen and senior Cora Rose each were honored twice on the First Team and Ciuffetelli, Maya Hatch and Aimee Oszer all received one First Team award.
 
Chen and Ciuffetelli were Rochester's only Second Team recipients, while five individuals, Raquella Casserino, Ella Blau, Sab Lin, Ashleigh Barrett and Rose were the Honorable Mention winners this outdoor season.
