The University of Rochester women's cross country team notched its second-straight top-three result, finishing third at the UR Yellowjacket Invitational on Saturday morning at Genesee Valley Park.

Riley Joseph led the Yellowjackets with one of two top-15 finishes, placing 12th with a time of 22:49.3.
Ella Blau followed close behind with a 14th-place result, clocking in with a time of 22:50.9.

Rochester added another top-30 result in the 254-runner field with
Alyssa Horng's finish, as the senior took 28th with a time of 23:20.8.

Emily Dill and
Sam Mermelstein rounded out the Yellowjackets' top-five finishers, with Dill coming in 47th, crossing the finish line in 23:57.8, while Mermelstein placed 53rd with a time of 24:10.9.

URochester's two displacers were
Ariane Yedidia, who finished 77th with a time of 24:45.2, and
Adriana Ochoa, who clocked in with a time of 25:10.1, good for 93rd.
Peyton Classer came in right behind Ochoa in 94th-place, finishing the 6k course in 25:12.8.

Maria Khalifeh was UR's next-highest finisher in 112th place with a time of 25:35.7, while
Talia Christopher came in 126th, clocking in at 25:46.3. Rochester added one more top-150 finish in
Isabella Doty, who came in 137th (26:06.0).

As a team, the Yellowjackets combined for 140 points, good for fourth, with SUNY Geneseo taking the top spot with 39 points. The Knights had five of the top-12 placers to notch the lowest team score, while Ithaca took home second place with 115 points.

Rochester finished just ahead of fourth-place RIT, who tallied 142 points, while Hamilton rounded out the top five teams with 146 points.

Individually, Niagara's Alexa Briggs was the race's top finisher with a time of 21:57.2, while Geneseo's Ann Brennan was the top Division III runner, clocking in at 21:59.4

Rochester's alumni squad placed 15th, with Rachel Bargabos `19 earning the squad's top finish with a 20th-place result and 23:13.4 time.

The Yellowjackets will be back in action next Saturday, Oct. 4 when they head to Fredonia, NY for the Kara Hall Memorial Invite beginning at 11:00 a.m.
