The University of Rochester men's and women's swimming and diving programs earned College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team honors for the fall semester, as announced by the CSCAA on Tuesday.
Â
To qualify for this prestigious recognition, teams had to earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 during the 2024 fall semester. 709 teams from 414 institutions representing a total of 16,421 student-athletes met the criteria to earn Fall Scholar All-America Team honors.
Â
URochester men's swimming and diving posted a 3.72 Team GPA this past fall, earning Scholar All-America Team recognition for the 21st-straight semester, while the Yellowjacket women combined for a 3.5 Team GPA to achieve the honor for the 23rd-straight semester, both dating back to the mid-2000s when the CSCAA first started the program.
Â
"The academic commitment demonstrated by these teams is exceptional," Samantha Barany, Executive Director of the CSCAA, said. "These student-athletes continue to set a standard for excellence by succeeding at the highest level both in the pool and in the classroom, and the CSCAA is proud to recognize their dedication and achievement."
Â
The University Athletic Association was also one of just three NCAA Division III conferences, and nine overall across the entire NCAA, that saw 100 percent of both their men's and women's programs in the conference earn All-America Team honors for the fall semester.
