NEW ORLEANS, LA – University of Rochester men's track & field sophomore
Emmett Hansen earned Second-Team All-America honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for his performance at this past weekend's NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships, as announced by the USTFCCCA on Monday.
By virtue of his 16th-place finish in the heptathlon, Hansen earned Second-Team All-America honors, tallying 4,863 points across the seven events.
Athletes of member institutions who finished in the top-8 of their respective individual events and relays at the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships this past weekend in Birmingham, AL, took home First-Team All-America honors, while those who placed ninth through 16th individually and ninth through 12th as part of a relay earned Second-Team All-America.
Hansen's best finish came in the 1,000 meters to wrap up the heptathlon, where the senior placed fourth with a time of 2:47.65. The senior also tallied a pair of top-10 finishes in the 60 meters (7th) and pole vault (7th) and set new, personal-best marks in the 60 meters (7.21s) and shot put (10.98m).
With Hansen's All-America nod, the Yellowjackets have seen a heptathlete earn All-America honors each of the past three years at the NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, following Aeden Angelone's honor in 2024 and
Gabe Thyne in 2025.
