NEW ORLEANS, LA – 16 members of the University of Rochester men's track and field team received United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region honors for their efforts on the track and in the field during the indoor season, as announced by the USTFCCCA on Wednesday.
The top-eight individuals in each event from each region: East, Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, South, and West, on the year-end Descending Order Lists earn All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-eight relay teams.
Both of Rochester's top relays in the 4x400-meter relay and Distance Medley Relay secured All-Region status, as
Austin Skeete,
Trevor Whitney,
Owen Bernstein and
Liam Sakakeeny ranked second in the Niagara Region with a DMR time of 10:13.32, set at the Liberty League Indoor Track & Field Championships. While
Greg Palma,
Brighton Lumia,
Elijah VanHoover and
Evan Bryant's 4x400-meter ` time of 3:19.72, also from the Liberty League Championships, was seventh in the region.
The Yellowjackets' eight other All-Region accolades all came in the field events.
Two 'Jackets,
Cody Reeth and
Brant Nicholls, secured All-Region status in the pole vault, ranking second and fifth in the region. Reeth vaulted over 4.78m at the All-Atlantic Region Championships, while Nicholls netted his All-Region mark of 4.70m at Liberty Leagues.
Another two,
Armaan Butler and
Ethan Beer, received All-Region accolades for their performance in the throwing events. Beer ranked highly, sixth, in the shot put, with his school-record toss of 15.86m from the Liberty League Championships, while Butler scored a top-eight mark with his 17.29m weight throw, also at Liberty Leagues.
In the jumping events,
Aadit Jain ranked fifth in the Niagara Region with a height of 1.95m to earn All-Region, achieved at the Nazareth Conference Tune-Up, while
Austin Lansey finished sixth in the region in the triple jump to score regional honors with his 14.08m leap from the conference championships.
Rochester's final two All-Region honors came in the heptathlon, where
Emmett Hansen and
Ashton Tokarski came in second and fourth in the Niagara Region with their scores. Hansen's 4,932-point tally from the Ithaca Bomber Invitational scored the sophomore All-Region accolades, while Tokarski's score of 4,755 points from the AARTFCs earned the junior All-Region.
Hansen will wrap up the indoor campaign for the Yellowjackets this weekend, March 13-14, competing in the heptathlon at the 2025-26 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Birmingham Crossplex in Birmingham, AL.
