NORTHBOROUGH, MA – University of Rochester senior attacker
Alyssa Gorny was named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) NCAA Division III Senior All-Star Team, as announced by the IWLCA on Wednesday.
Gorny will represent the 'Jackets on the White All-Star squad, coached by Catholic's Meghan McDonogh. The IWLCA Senior All-Star games will be held on Tierney Field at the USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, MD, on Saturday, May 30, with the DIII contest set for 10:00 a.m.
The Liberty League Attacker of the Year and a First-Team All-Liberty League and IWLCA All-Region selection, Gorny wrapped up her Yellowjacket career with a sensational season, leading Rochester in nearly every offensive statistical category. The senior appeared in and started all 18 games, tallying 65 goals and 23 assists for a total of 88 points on 122 shots, 100 of which were on goal.
The Ellicott City, MD native also led the 'Jackets with 79 draw controls, while adding 32 ground balls and 27 caused turnovers defensively. Statistically, Gorny ranked in the top 50 in Division III in goals and in the top 60 in total points.
The senior also set several single-season records during the 2026 campaign, with her 88 points, 65 goals and 100 shots on goal being the most in a single season in program history, while Gorny's 122 shots and 79 draw controls are the second-most in a single season.
Gorny graduates as one of the most prolific players in program history, with the most career points (288), goals (219), shots (455), shots on goal (356), draw controls (222) and games played (70) in Rochester women's lacrosse program history. Gorny's 59 career assists also rank fifth in program history, while her 63 caused turnovers are tied for seventh.
