Six 'Jackets from the University of Rochester field hockey, women's lacrosse and women's rowing teams were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Women's At-Large Academic All-District Team, as announced by the CSC on Tuesday.

The 2025-26 CSC Academic All-District® Men's and Women's At-Large Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes. To be nominated, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, and meet a set of athletic participation criteria for their given sport.

Field hockey and lacrosse nominees must have competed in at least 90 percent of a team's total games or have started at least 66 percent, while in women's rowing, nominees must have competed in a minimum of four competitions or as a member of an NCAA boat (1V8, 2V8, 1V4) at a conference championship.

In addition to field hockey, lacrosse (both men's and women's) and women's rowing, the sports included in the At-Large program are golf (both men's and women's), ice hockey (men's & women's), water polo (men's & women's), bowling (women's), fencing (men's & women's), rifle (men's & women's), rowing (women's), skiing (men's & women's), gymnastics (men's & women's), volleyball (men's), wrestling (men's) and beach volleyball (women's).

The 2026 Liberty League Attacker of the Year, Gorny capped off a sensational career with a tremendous senior campaign, earning both Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) First-Team All-Empire Region and First-Team All-Liberty League honors. The senior set single-season records with her 65 goals, 88 points and 100 shots, and graduates as one of the most prolific lacrosse student-athletes in program history, with the most career points (288), goals (219), shots (455), shots on goal (356), draw controls (222) and games played (70) in program history. This season, Gorny led the Liberty League in goals and points, and ranked fourth in shots and sixth in draw controls, tallying 65 goals and 23 assists on 122 shots (100 on goal) to go along with 79 draw controls, 32 ground balls and 27 caused turnovers in 18 games played and started.

A finance major with minors in economics and Russian, the Ellicott City, MD native is a three-time Liberty League All-Academic recipient, a three-time Academic All-District honoree and a one-time IWLCA Academic Honor Roll selection. Additionally, Gorny was inducted into several honors societies, including Phi Beta Kappa, Keidaean Senior, Dobro Slovo and Beta Gamma Sigma. Having previously interned at Constellation Energy and J.P. Morgan, Gorny now works full-time at J.P. Morgan following her graduation and has volunteered back home with her local synagogue and community garden.

Bunting was one of Rochester's top defenders this season, while also contributing in the draw circle. The Williston, VT native appeared in and started 15 games, tallying 48 draw controls, 29 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers. A Third-Team All-Liberty League selection, Bunting ranked in the top 10 in the conference in draw controls per game, averaging 3.20 per contest, and had three-plus draw controls in nine contests. Bunting also had multiple caused turnovers in four contests, with her best game of the season coming against crosstown rival RIT, in which the junior recorded four draw controls, three ground balls and three caused turnovers.

Off the field, Bunting is a two-time Liberty League All-Academic selection and a member of the Dean's List. A biochemistry major, Bunting has TAed for Organic Chemistry and General Chemistry, and worked in Dr. Dragony Fu's Lab in the Department of Biology and the Center for RNA Biology. The junior also interned as a medical assistant at a medical aesthetics clinic for the past two years, and plans on attending medical school following her graduation next year. Bunting also volunteers as an assistant lacrosse coach for the local high school.

Ufberg earned both IWLCA Second-Team All-Empire Region and First-Team All-Liberty League honors this season after impressing as one of URochester's most physical defenders. The junior appeared in and started all 18 games for the Yellowjackets, leading the team with 34 caused turnovers, a new single-season record, in addition to a team-high 53 ground balls, six draw controls and an assist. The Bala Cynwyd, PA native ranked in the top three in the Liberty League in both caused turnovers and ground balls, and set a new single-game record this season with her seven caused turnovers in the 'Jackets' 14-12 win over St. Lawrence on March 14.

In addition to her on-field exploits, Ufberg is a two-time Liberty League All-Academic selection and received the O'Brien Brook Award. The microbiology major with a minor in Jewish studies is the co-founder and Director of Recruiting for the University of Rochester chapter of TAMID, and the President of the URochester Chabad. Ufberg also serves as a volunteer research assistant in the Porter Lab at the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital, and volunteers with Begin the Turn and Broad Street Love back home. She is currently participating in the Jefferson Abington Hospital Pre-Medical Program, and plans to attend medical school following her graduation next year.

Honig turned in another All-Liberty League season as a junior, earning Honorable Mention honors after tying for a team-high six goals and finishing with 13 points on the year. Appearing in 20 games and making 19 starts, Honig took 55 shots (34 on goal) and scored three game-winners, helping the 'Jackets to wins over Kenyon, SUNY Cortland and RPI. Honig ranked in the top 10 in the conference in both shots and shots on goal, and was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association DIII Watch List midway through the year.

A three-time NFHCA Academic Squad member and a two-time Liberty League All-Academic honoree, Honig, a data science major with a concentration in business and economics, earns her second-straight CSC Academic All-District Team selection. The junior is a team captain and the Social Chair and Women's Empowerment Coordinator for her sorority, Sigma Delta Tau, and received a Certificate of Merit from the Society of Women Engineers in both 2022 and 2023, as well as the Nathan H. Kaufman Award for Athlete and Scholastic Achievement in 2023. This summer, Honig is interning for BNY in New York City. At home in Pittsburgh, Honig does volunteer work with the National Council of Jewish Women, as well as on campus with Sigma Delta Tau, with Prevent Child Abuse America and Jewish Women International.

Foley impressed as a sophomore for the Yellowjackets in 2025, earning both Liberty League Rookie of the Year and Second-Team All-Liberty League honors. The Trumbull, CT native finished as the 'Jackets' leading scorer with 14 points, scoring six goals and dishing out two assists on 42 shots, 27 of which were on goal, in 20 games played and 16 starts. The sophomore notched two game winners and also found the back of the net in four-straight games to start the season, as well as against eventual National Champion Tufts on Sept. 28.

Named to both the Liberty League All-Academic Team and the NFHCA National Academic Squad, Foley is a two-time member of the NFHCA Academic Squad, having also earned honors in 2024. The sophomore is a computational biology major with a minor in economics and serves as a research assistant for Professor Gerald Gamm. This summer, Foley is an Environmental Health and Safety Biosecurity and Biosafety at Yale University, while she also volunteers as a counselor in basketball and field hockey over the summer.

Leininger rowed on Rochester's Varsity 8 boat this season, competing in all nine of the Yellowjackets' competitions. The senior also rowed on the 'Jackets' Varsity 4 and double at several competitions, helping the V8 finish third at the Liberty League Championships, seventh at the New York State Championships, and 13th at the NIRC Championships. In the fall, Leininger was also a member of UR's V8 at both the Head of the Genesee and Head of the Fish, notching a third-place finish at the Head of the Genesee.

A brain and cognitive sciences major with minors in psychology and gender, sexuality and women's studies, Leininger is a three-time Liberty League All-Academic selection, a member of the Dean's List and was named a Provost Circle Scholar last year. The Dallas, TX native was also inducted into the Psi Chi Honor Society and Phi Beta Kappa and did research on campus in the Social Stress, Marmolab, and Social Cognition and Psychopathology Labs. A member of the Alpha Phi Omega service organization, Leininger volunteered with and organized many fundraisers throughout Rochester during her time on campus. Since graduating, Leininger has been working full-time in a cognitive neuroscience lab, and plans on getting her PhD in cognitive neuroscience.

Academic All-District selections will be evaluated by a subcommittee and advanced to the national All-America ballot, to be voted on by CSC members within their respective divisions.
