Lacrosse has earned the team academic award every year from the IWLCA.

Lacrosse Lauded for Academics from IWLCA

The 2026 season for the University of Rochester lacrosse team was a successful one, both on and off the field for the Yellowjackets.
 
On Wednesday, URochester received the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Team Academic Honor Squad award and eight individuals also received praise on the Division III Academic Honor Roll.
 
In 2026, the Yellowjackets received their 16th straight team award from the IWLCA, earning the honor in every year of the awards existence. To qualify as a team Academic Honor Squad, programs must compile a grade point average of 3.2 or higher during the 2025-26 academic year.
 
Overall, 357 schools across Divisions I, II and III and the NAIA received the IWLCA Academic Honor Squad award.
 
Individually, the eight honorees from Rochester in 2026 are seniors Kassi Boehl, Alyssa Gorny, Lorelei King and Morgan Napolitano, along with juniors Maddie Bunting, Talia Feldman, Anna Rogers and Jenna Ufberg.
 
Boehl, Gorny, King and Napolitano are repeat winners from 2025, while the other four individuals receive their first IWLCA academic honor.
 
In order to qualify for individual accolades, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic grade point average of 3.50 or greater throughout their time in college.
 
A total of 1,350 student-athletes from 174 different institutions were honored on the Division III Academic Honor Roll in 2026.
