The men's tennis team earned their second consecutive victory of the spring season to open a four-day stretch of games. The Yellowjackets didn't lose a single set in their commanding 7-0 victory over cross-town rival Nazareth on Thursday at the Goergen Athletic Center. The team travels to Hobart on Friday and then comes back home for weekend matches against Niagara and RIT.
The team had an overall solid performance on Thursday. The singles competition resulted in straight set victories for every player on the Rochester team. The Yellowjackets were also dominant in doubles competition winning all three sets. Josh Bruce-Black (UR) was extremely effective in #6 singles defeating Eric Traub (Naz) 6-0, 6-0. Eric Prince (UR) defeated Tim Sorge (Naz) twice in the match. In #5 singles he had a straight set victory 6-1, 6-1 then later teamed up with Brian Shenker in #3 doubles to defeat Sorge and his teammate Traub 8-0.
Rochester's overall record is now 2-4.
