BABSON PARK, Mass. - The men's tennis team lost tight decisions at Brandeis University and Babson College over the weekend.
Rochester lost, 6-3, at Brandeis on Saturday. The Yellowjackets were nicked, 5-4, by Babson on Sunday.
Bennett Peterson and Brian Bowman claimed three wins over the weekend. Bowman earned a win at #1 singles vs. Brandeis when his opponent retired in the first set. Bowman won in both singles and doubles vs. Babson. He won, 2-6, 6-4, 6-1 at #1 singles, then paired with Ryan Kovaleski to win,m 8-2, at #1 doubles.
Peterson was a double winner against Brandeis. He paired with Dan Barbash to win, 9-8 (2), at #2 doubles. Peterson then took the #3 singles point, 3-6, 7-6 (3), 6-4.
Against Babson, Kovaleski won, 6-4, 7-5 at #2 singles for the last Rochester point.
