UAA Bracket

Rochester played a strong tennis schedule this season in preparation for the University Athletic Association championships. Based on the draw issued by the Association office, the Yellowjackets will need to rely on that championship-level experience.
 
The Yellowjacket women are seeded sixth in a field of eight. Rochester will open play against the University of Chicago on Friday afternoon. The Maroon women are ranked number six nationally, number one in the Central Region.  Rochester is ranked number 12 in the Northeast.
 
Rochester's men are seeded eighth and will square off against top-seeded Emory University on Thursday. The Eagles are ranked second nationally and first in the Atlantic South Region. Rochester is ranked number 18 in the Northeast.
 
This draw comes right after the Yellowjacket women played top-seeded Williams College on the road Sunday and the men took on Vassar College, currently ranked 11^th in the Northeast.
 
The UAA Championships are being conducted in Altamonte Springs, Florida. In March, the UAA conducted its softball championships in Altamonte Springs.
 
In the men's bracket, Emory is #1, followed by Carnegie Mellon, Washington, Case, Chicago, Brandeis, NYU, and Rochester.
 
On the women's side, Emory is #1, followed by Carnegie Mellon, Chicago, Washington, Brandeis, Rochester, Case, and NYU.
 
The Yellowjackets begin play on Thursday at 9 am against Emory. Women's play starts Friday at 1:30 pm against Chicago. Men's semifinals and the entire consolation bracket will conclude on Friday. The championship and third place matches will be staged on Saturday. The women's draw sheet shows semifinals and consolation matches on Saturday, third place and championship matches on Sunday.
