Box Score CANTON, N.Y. – Rochester jumped ahead by winning all three doubles events and then pushed forward to post a 7-2 men's tennis victory over St. Lawrence University at Newell Field House on Saturday.
 
The Yellowjackets improved to 6-9. St. Lawrence is 4-8.
 
UR had three double winners. Masaru Fujimaki won at #1 doubles (8-6 with Peter Huang) and 6-0, 4-6, 10-2 in the super tiebreaker at #1 singles. Huang was a double winner when he seized a gritty 5-7, 7-5, 10-8 win at #5 singles.
 
Yifan Shen and Jun Yuminaga defeated Arman Tavana and Joshua Marvald, 9-7, at second doubles. Shen posted a 6-3, 6-2 win over Spencer Whitmire at #3 singles. Yuminaga los, 1-6, 6-3, 1-6 to Leo Romanetz at #2 singles.
 
Rochester's final singles victory was produced by Tanmay Thakkar, 6-1, 6-1 over Andrew Mercorella at #4. Sahaj Somani and Mattias Hartveit won, 8-5, at second doubles.
