Box Score The University of Rochester men's tennis team could not pull off the upset, as they lost 9-0 to Case Western Reserve University on Sunday. The Spartans, who are ranked 9th in the country, played at a high level throughout the match. 

Case Western (10-1) managed to sweep Rochester (3-5) in doubles play, as James Hopper and Matthew Chen outplayed Runjia Fang and Mark Zolotukhin 8-2. Jon Powell and Neil Mabee beat Pasquale Procaccino and Matt Resnikoff 8-1. Zach Hennessey and Chai Aduru earned their win over Tanmay Thakkar and Yifan Shen 8-2. 

Thakkar managed to put up a strong effort in his singles match against Max Vicario, but eventually fell 6-2, 6-4. 

Up next, UR will pack their bags as they travel to Puerto Rico from March 9th-11th. During the stretch, they will play Merrimack College, Augustana University and Connecticut College.
