University of Rochester men's golf sophomore Eddie Ren was named the Liberty League Men's Golf Performer of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday.
 
Ren led Rochester and turned in a remarkable third-place result out of 87 golfers at the Tartan Invitational last Monday and Tuesday, leading the Yellowjackets to a third-place finish among the 16 teams in the event. Ren carded rounds of 2-under, 70, 5-over, 77 and even par 72 to finish with a 54-hole score of 219 (3-over).
 
Rochester was the top finishing conference team in the event and combined to beat nine nationally-ranked schools in the field with a team score of 889, ending just three strokes behind event champion Huntingdon. For the event, Ren finished with 11 birdies and was a combined 6-under par on par-5's, both being second best in the field.
