University of Rochester men's golf sophomore Alvin Su was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Men's Golf Athlete of the Week, as announced by the UAA on Monday, as well as the Liberty League Men's Golf Performer of the Week, as announced by the Liberty League on Tuesday.
 
Su finished as the tournament medalist as Rochester rallied for the team title at the Northeast Elite Invitational last Sunday and Monday at Williamsport Country Club. The Rochester sophomore was the lone player in the 90-golfer field to finish under par, shooting rounds of 67 and 66 to end at 9-under 133.
 
Su's second round 66 tied the lowest single-round in Rochester school history, with the 67 on day one also ranking in the top-10 single rounds. As a team, the Yellowjackets mounted a second-day comeback to finish first among 16 teams with a 577 total over two rounds, posting a 1-stroke victory over nationally ranked Gettysburg and a 2-shot win over first-round leader McDaniel.
