The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) recognized several University of Rochester field hockey student-athletes, as well as the team as a whole, for their efforts in the classroom through the past fall 2024 semester, as announced by the NFHCA on Tuesday.
16 Yellowjackets were named to the NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad, three were awarded NFHCA Scholar of Distinction accolades, and the 'Jackets team earned NFHCA National Academic Team honors.

The NFHCA National Academic Squad program, sponsored by OPA Winning Teams, honors undergraduate student-athletes, nominated by their NFHCA member coaches, who achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher through the fall semester.
The NFHCA Scholars of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes who achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2023-24 academic year.
1880 undergraduate student-athletes from more than 150 institutions earned 2024 Division III National Academic Squad honors, including an impressive 310 honorees who earned this distinction for the fourth consecutive year. While more than 550 student-athletes from more than 135 institutions who received recognition as 2024 Division III Scholars of Distinction.
Both Ren and Zeng earned National Academic Squad distinction for the fourth-consecutive year, while the Yellowjackets had double-digit academic squad honorees for the 10th-straight season dating back to 2015-15, as well as multiple NFHCA Scholars of Distinction for the fifth-straight year under Head Coach
Wendy Andreatta.
As a team, the Yellowjackets were one of just 69 NCAA Division III field hockey teams to qualify for NFHCA National Team Academic honors, bestowed upon programs that have achieved a team grade-point average of 3.5 or higher during the fall semester of the current academic year.
